My fiance had a burger and fries and it looked and tasted like every other Applebee's, Chili's, etc. burger and fries you can get anywhere. Do yourself a favor and skip it. The trolleys were replaced by electric street cars in 1901, and the building was refurbished to be used as a maintenance garage by the City Power and Passenger Company. A spur line was run to the building and archways were created so street cars could be run in for maintenance. The trolley system was abandoned in 1931 and the building had sporadic use until the 1950’s when Pepsi Cola Company purchased it for use as a repair shop and distribution warehouse. Thank you Home Team Grill for a very pleasant experience while we celebrated our daughter's birthday. Been there for lunch and dinner. Enjoy the local pub-type atmosphere. Lots of TV screens for checking out Sports action. Good quality food in generous portions. Nice neighborhood gathering place with a large bar area.

Several big screen TVs make sports viewing convenient, while maintaining a pub-like atmosphere for social drinkers. The entire staff is very friendly. The food is fresh and well prepared.
The prices are pretty standard and the ambiance is what you would expect for a sports bar. I will definitely add this stop to my list for my next trip to the area. After 14 years in business in Glen Allen, local restaurant Home Team Grill has traded the sports moniker for one that shares the name of its community.

My family and I enjoy this locally owned super friendly restaurant. The soups are are all homemade as well as most everything thing else on the menu, even the potato chips, which are amazing! Recently they have added some new items... Bracelets are not allowed on food service workers. Remember to remove fish from vacuum sealed bags when removing from the freezer.

The service is turtle slow and the food isn't very good. This restaurant and bar is nice to its regular customers, but does not take too kindly to people they perceive as outsiders. If you are a visitor here, they may seem friendly at first, but you will eventually discover that it is not sincere. On March 15, 2007, Home Team Grill opened for business in this space and has been here ever since. Coincidentally, on this day VCU beat Duke in the NCAA tournament.
